QuickCapo finds the best capo fret and key for a given song. This can be used to make a part easier to play, to find the best key for a singer, or to create multiple parts in the same key but at different fingerboard positions.

QuickCapo assumes the instument is a guitar tuned to the standard tuning (EADGBE).

  2. Open up QuickCapo
  3. Select a capo action
  4. Put your capo on the indicated fret
  5. Select a position from the QuickCapo report and press the transpose action

Easy chords do not require barres, stretches, or the pinky. They also use 4 or more strings

Medium chords require the pinky or a partial barre.

Hard chords require a full barre or a stretch.

Songs that do not have a capo position containing all easy chords are rated as Hard.
